8. HULL & DECK OPENINGS

•

KEELBOX KEEL TOP-PLATE

Note that this Keel Top-plate is bolted on the keelbox with 6 bolts and nuts and have rubber seal.

•

ANCHOR LOCKER

This is not a real deck opening because it give access only to the self-draining anchor locker.

•

FWD DECK HATCH

This hatch is part of the coachroof and represents also the fire emergency escape. It should be maintained in closed position when

sailing.

•

COMPANIONWAY

This is the principal entrance of the boat and is composed by an horizontal sliding hatch and two vertical removable panels.

•

COCKPIT HATCHES
The two aft hatches on PT and SB benches give access to the lazarette. They should be maintained in closed position when sailing.

•

ENGINE COMPARTMENT HATCH
This is not a real deck opening because it give access only to the self-draining engine compartment.

WARNING
