7. MAST, BOOM, RIGGING AND SAILS
MAST, BOOM & RIGGING
The boat is equipped with a boom and a carbon fiber mast with one sets of swept-back spreaders, manufactured in Hungary by Pauger; the
mast is rigged with Dynafor shrouds and forestay supplied, together with the mast, by the same company.
For mast maintenance always refer to technical staff approved by the manufacturer; be very careful to not damage the carbon fiber surface.
Mast and rigging do not require particular maintenance except for periodic visual controls for cracks or splits and checks on spreaders and
rigging attachments. Regularly clean with fresh water to prevent dust and ckeck running rigging and sheets for chafe.
NOTE: do not make holes or cuts in the mast without the previous agreement of the builder.
MAST STEPPING PREPARATION
The mast is stepped on the mast base that is bolted on the top of the fore area of the coachroof; the mast position on the boat is nearly
vertical, so for this reason it's important to begin the installation procedure pointing the mast on the step base and lifting it from the front
forward side.
The mast needs to be prepared laid down horizontally on at least 2 supports with the front face up.
