use 

Inserting batteries 

Remove the batteries from the protective 
packaging and insert them into the scale 
and control unit according to the polarity in-
dicated. See the diagram inside the battery 
compartment.

Scale 

 

If the scale fails to operate, remove the bat-
teries completely and reinsert them. 

For instructions on changing the batteries, 
see p. 29. 

Changing the weight unit 

The scale shows the values in kg. You can 
change the unit between kilograms, pounds 
("LB") and stones ("ST") using the SET but-
ton. See page 24. 

Setting up the scale 

Set up the scale on a level and solid sur-
face. A solid surface is a prerequisite for a 
correct measurement.
