To update the BIOS using the Windows DeskFlash program, perform the following: 

1.

 

Click on “BIOS Update-Windows”. 

2.

 

Download the “Flash BIOS Update – Desk Flash Instant” update file. 

3.

 

Run the update file “Flash BIOS Update – Desk Flash Instant”. 

4.

 

Perform the on-screen instructions. 

 

 

 

If the product fails to boot, the updated BIOS maybe damaged, contact Kontron Support.

 

 

 

To update the BIOS using a FAT32 formatted USB stick, perform the following: 

1.

 

Click on “BIOS Update – Admin Pack”. 

2.

 

Download the “Admin Package-Compressed Flash files” ZIP file from the website to a PC. 

3.

 

Unzip and copy the file to a FAT32 formatted USB stick. 

4.

 

Locate the following files on the USB stick: 

a.

 

EfiFlash.efi in the folder EFI/FUJITSU 

b.

 

D1234-A1.UPD (BIOS Update file) in the USB stick’s root directory 

5.

 

Reboot and press<f12> to open the Boot menu. 

6.

 

Use the navigation hotkeys to select the “Fujitsu Update Utility” and confirm with <Enter>. 

7.

 

Confirm the update process with <Y> when prompted. This performs a reset and starts the update. 

 

 

 

If the product fails to boot, the updated BIOS maybe damaged, contact Kontron Support.
