OPERATING THE RECEIVER
Parental Lock
You can block a specific event by setting an age rating. If the current rating of an event is equal
or higher than your setting, the channel will be blocked, and a PIN-code will be required to watch.
Options available are A (no rating), 7, 11, 15 or 18. For example, if you set 15, all events rated
15 or higher will be blocked. Parental Lock works only if the broadcaster provides rating category
information.

Press the / key to display the age rating category you want to restrict (A, 7, 11, 15 or 18).
If you try to watch a blocked channel (by channel block or age rating) the following message
appears. This channel is blocked (channel number). Please enter your PIN.
1. Use the
numeric (0-9)
key to enter the correct PIN code, then press the
OK
key.
2. If you make a mistake, press the key to delete number.
If the PIN code is correct the programme, you want to watch displays.
If the PIN is not correct, you will be asked to try again or change to a channel that is not blocked.
Note Note : When you unblock a channel using this method, the channel as well as all other blocked
channels become unblocked as long as your receiver is set to any of these channels.
The channel is automatically blocked after 2 minutes if you start viewing an open channel,
when you put your receiver into standby, or turn off your receiver.
PPV PIN
You can choose whether or not you need to enter your PIN code in order to purchase pay-per-
view events.

Use the / key to display "On" or "Off" on the screen.
RED
key: Return to the settings menu.
BLUE
key: Apply changes.
Spending Limits
By setting the Spending Limit, you choose the maximum amount that you would be willing to
spend on a single pay-per-view event.

Press the
numeric (0-9)
key to enter a new limit. If you make a mistake, use the / key to
highlight the number you want to change, then enter a new number.
5.1.3 Change PIN
You can change your 4 digit PIN number.

Press the
numeric (0-9)
key to enter your new PIN.

Confirm your new PIN.
RED
key: Return to the settings menu.
BLUE
key: Apply changes.
Note Note
: If you forget your PIN, it can only be reset by
calling the Viasat customer service.
