3. Install a fully charged battery, and separate the DSC front cover. Turn the DSC on while short-circuiting the
CF1 jumper using tweezers. Then the Status LED lights up. (The lens barrel does not come out and the
Power LED does not light up.)
4. After a moment, when the card is recognized, the Status LED of the DSC quickly blinks and then turns off.
Then the front AF lamp is lit as shown by the figure below. (If you use a memory card of greater than 32MB
capacity, it requires a long time for the camera to recognize the card, hence using an SD card of equal to or
less than 32MB capacity is recommended.)
