4. Troubleshooting

► Error Code

M1–1610 / M1–1613

► Error message

Paper jam in MP Tray.

► Symptom

Paper jam has occurred in MP tray.

► Troubleshooting method

1) Open the side cover. Remove the jammed paper from the MP tray.

2) If this jam error occurs frequently, check the followings.

a) Check if the MP tray paper stopper is moved out of position. If yes, carefully push the MP tray paper stopper

back into the detent as shown below.

b) Check if MP pick up/ reverse/ forward rollers are assembled correctly.

c) If the MP pick up/ reverse/ forward rollers are worn out or contaminated, replace the defective

roller(

3) If the problem persists, check if the MP solenoid operates correctly.

a) Enter SVC mode. Execute MP solenoid test.

(Diagnostics > Engine Diagnostics > Engine Test Routines > 101-0271)

b) If the MP solenoid operation is abnormal, check the harness connection of MP unit.

c) If the harness has no defects, replace the MP solenoid(
