• Confidential transmission feature is a non-standard feature,
dependent on the remote machine’s capability.
• Your product also have mailbox capabilities. See “Confidential
Receiving” on page 7.10.
• If you want to can cancel the confidential transmission, see
“Cancelling a Scheduled Operation” on page 7.12.
Confidential Receiving
Before receiving confidential documents, you have to set up the
following
• Confidential mailboxes. You can have up to 10 confidential
mailboxes.
• The password for each mailbox.
• The names for each mailbox. If you do not want to assign the
name, you can skip this setup.
Setting up Mailbox for Confidential
Receiving

Press Menu , and then or repeatedly until “MAIL BOX”
appears on the display, then press Enter . The LCD prompts
you to set up or print a mail box.

Press 1 to set up information for confidential receiving. The
LCD prompts you to enter a number (1-10) of the
confidential mailbox.

Enter a number of the confidential mailbox using the
number keypad.
If you enter a box number which has already been
registered, the fax machine displays ‘DELETE?’. Press
1 to
cancel the number already registered, and 2 to keep the
number already registered and try with a different number.
If there is any message received in the box you chosen,
‘NOT AVAILABLE’ is displayed.
