MEDIA CENTRE
The Media Centre allows you to play your personal media (videos, music and photos) on the set-top box
either by connecting a supported USB storage device or by connecting the set-top box to the home network
and allowing DLNA* certified devices to share media.
*DLNA stands for Digital Living Network Alliance. For more information, please visit
http://www.dlna.org/
In general, the following file formats and codecs are supported by the set-top box:
Video: MPEG-TS, MPEG-PS, MPEG-1, ASF, MKV, MP4 and AVI files
Audio: AAC, MP3, WMA, and WAV files
Image: PNG, JPEG and GIF files
Note that the HD Interactive Set-Top Box is not a dedicated media player.
Some supported file formats may not work due to several factors:
Some specific technical specifications are not supported by the set-top box.
Some content may have Digital Rights Management (DRM) for copyright protection which will
not be playable on the set-top box.
The DLNA specification only defines support for common audio and video formats, and even
supported formats may not work if the container, bitrate and other technical parameters are not
compliant to the standard.
