Replacing EPROMs

In order to upgrade the DX-408/DX-408i system software it is necessary to replace the
system’s EPROMs as follows:

1. Turn off the power at the power switch and the GPO.

2. If an external battery is installed, remove the external battery connection.

3. Remove the front cover of the DX-408/DX-408i digital key system.

4. There are two EPROMs on the baseboard of the DX-408 digital key system, and four

EPROMs on the baseboard of the DX-408i digital key system. Taking anti-static
precautions remove the EPROMs using an IC removing tool.
