Qualifications of operator
To provide safe machine operation each person being the machine operator must meet the
following requirements:
Operator should hold driving license, have ability to drive vehicles safely and know road traffic
rules.
Operator must be in proper physical condition to be able to operate the machine.
Operator must not be under the influence of alcohol, drugs and medicines, which all have
influence on vehicle driving and machine operation.
Operator should be familiarized with this manual and follow its provisions.
Operator should be familiar with working principles of both the tractor and the machine, and be
able to recognize and avoid hazards resulting from operation of the aggregate.
4.1.8
Transport
When driving on public roads always respect the local traffic regulations concerning warning
lights.
When approaching transportation of the aggregation of arm and ditch cleaner, take off or
partially disconnect PTO shaft from the tractor’s side.
When transported the abovementioned aggregation shall have remote warning light device and
warning triangle mounted for a slow driving vehicle.
When transported, ditch cleaner should always be set in transport position. See item 3.3.
Any modifications in ditch cleaner's position are possible only if no vehicles or unauthorized
personnel are around (children in particular).
Driving speed should always be adjusted to current road conditions.
Do not exceed permissible speed of 25 km/h.
When transported, in case of damaging hydraulics, extension’s arm cylinder should be protected
with special lock (channel section on cylinder’s rod).
4.1.9
Putting the machine onto another vehicle for transport
Both carrier and driver shall be responsible for the transport safety of ditch cleaner. Any
equipment and parts must be secured properly for transport. The following rules should be observed
when placing a machine onto a transport vehicle:
When lifted, stiff parts of ditch cleaner such as frame and linkage or special eye should only be
gripped with lifting devices.
In order to lift the machine, use only lifting devices with hoisting capacity bigger than the
cleaner’s weight provided on the data plate.
On the vehicle's trailer, the ditch cleaner should be protected against moving.
For transport purposes ditch cleaner must be set in vertical position with mounting plate up.
Wrap ditch cleaner protected in such way with bubble foil and fix on pallets with duct tape. Further
machine shifting should be conducted with use of pallet considered as fully integrated.
To place the ditch cleaner on a pallet use belt suspension and lifting device with capacity of
no less than the ditch cleaner's weight.
CAUTION:
Securing both danger area and activity performed shall lie under responsibility
of the person in charge of the machine transporting.
