WARNING:

  

Wash only the approved surfaces and areas.  Take care of leeching grease and 
hydraulic fluid, which can cause environmental damage.  Observe all regional 
environmental regulations.

TRANSPORT AND STORAGE

 

7.1.

 

Transport and Storage 

 

Before storing the silage roller for any extended period, all points outlined in 

Chapter 6

 need to be 

performed.  Mainetance and servicing instructions must be followed. 

 

Check  the  condition  of  all  wear  parts,  and  that  parts  are  tightened  appropriately.    Necessary 
maintenance work should be performed, and any worn-out parts should be replaced prior to storage. 

 

In priciple, only move or carry the machine with appropriate carrying or lifting gear.  Ensure that the 
lifting equipment is sufficient for the weight of the machine. 

WARNING:

  

Risk of injury during lifting and carrying. 
 

 

Always ensure a level and sufficiently stable location when storing or parking the silage roller. 

 

When placing the machine on a palette, ensure that the palette is sufficiently strong to carry the 
weight of the machine, and secure it against movement with straps. 

 

The storage location should be dry, on stable ground, and be on a level surface.  The machine should 
be covered with a tarp during storage. 

7.2.

 

Road Transport 

WARNING:

  

Before  transporting,  always  observe  the  regulations  currently  valid  for  the 
region.

Ensure you have good visibility from the tractor and for the machine. 

2.

 

Before transporting on public roads, remove all dirt and debris from the machine. 

WARNING:

   

Falling objects can lead to accidents, damage to the machine and tractor, injury, 
and even death. 

Take note of restricted passages.

3.

 

Ensure lighting and warning signs are valid for the region. 

4.

 

Install the proper warning signs and lighting equipment valid for the region.
