Sam4POS 6600/4800II Program Manual v2.1

Program Mode

•

DEFAULT DESTINATION

You have the option of selecting a default destination; the default destination will automatically apply to

all sales. Choose NONE for no selection.

ENFORCE DESTINATION ENTRY AT START OF SALE

You can enforce the destination selection to be entered at the beginning of a sale, by selecting this

option.

ENFORCE DESTINATION ENTRY BEFORE TENDER

You can enforce a destination selection before tendering a sale by selecting this option.

DISPLAY POPUP ON DESTINATION CHANGE

If selected, a pop-up dialog window will display when a destination key is pressed.

Multiplication

ENABLE DIRECT MULTIPLICATION

Direct multiplication allows you to enter a quantity and then press a preset key without using the

X/TIME

key.

DIRECT MULTIPLACATION (1-5)

You can determine the maximum number of digits allowed for the multiplier.

ALLOW MULTIPLE MULTIPLICATION

Selecting this option allows multiple multiplications, for example,

X/TIME

ITEM

Note that multiple multiplication overrides split pricing.

LIMITING QUANTITY FOR MULTIPLICATION SALE

Determines the maximum quantity entry allowed when using the X/Time key. Quantity can be set up to

3 places past the decimal; i.e. X.xxx

ETC

DISABLE ERROR BUZZER

Select YES for a momentary error tone; select NO for a continuous error tone that must be cleared.

DISABLE TOUCH SOUND

Turns off the sound made when touching the screen.

ERROR BUZZER IS SPOT

Check this option for a momentary error tone; uncheck this option for a continuous error tone that must be

cleared.

PRINT POWER FAIL COUNT WHEN POWER FAIL OCCURS

Each time the register powers on it will print a chit to the programmed receipt printer stating there was a

power fail with the time, date, register number.

DISABLE VOID MODE

Set to Yes to deactivate any activity in VOID mode.

ENABLE CARD READ

Required for the use of employee cards.

LINE DISPLAY DESCRIPTION

Program a custom message (up to 40 characters) to show on the rear customer VFD display.

CHECK DIGIT IS SENT FROM BCR

This setting needs to match the setting on your scanner, if the scanner is set to the read check digit, this option

must be set.
