Program Mode

Sam4POS 6600/4800II Program Manual v2.1

Note:

When deciding the START number in the Column of Number, do not include the Sentinel Character and

any characters

(i.e. =)

that may appear within the data line.

Employee Card

One Employee Card setup is provided and cannot be deleted, no additional employee card formats are

allowed.

CARD DATA

Swipe your card to view the data on the card.

READ

Choose which track you want to read for MSR operations; Track1, Track2, or Track3.

CARD ID

Check this option if Card ID numbers are to be used, then touch CARD ID enter the ID number

(up to

a 2-digits entry is allowed)

from the magnetic cards that will be accepted. If ID numbers are not to be

used, do not check this field.

COLUMN OF CARD ID

Enter the column number where the you wish to START reading on the card number. (This does not

include the sentinel character).

COLUMN OF NUMBER

Enter the column number where the you wish to START reading on the card number. Enter the number

of DIGITs (up to a 2-digits entry) of the card number you wish to read beginning at the start digit.

Age Verification

There are four different age verification formats available in the S

4POS by default. You can delete any age

verification formats that are not utilized in your area. Program the format specific for your application as
necessary or add additional formats as necessary.

Note: Be sure the “MSR Setting” programming is correct, prior to programming the Age Verification.
