Edit list, change order
In list view you can reach the edit function with the use of the
button; here you can delete the selected
programmes or relocate them, or store them in the desired order. Follow the instructions appearing on
the display.
Quick buttons
Keep pressed
buttons 1-2-3 on the top of the equipment to assign the 3 highlighted radio stations to
them, while listening to them. Press briefly the above buttons to listen to the concerned stations quickly,
without searching.
THE USE OF MEDIA CENTER FUNCTION
Similarly to the selection of the Internet radio, select
Media Center
mode as described above. Through
the radio, you can listen to the contents shared from your own media stores on your own WiFi network.
With the
UPnP
function selected, the radio starts searching for the shared contents detectable on the
network. In the case of several pieces of compatible equipment, they appear in one list, from which
you can select the one you currently wish to reach. The content and appearance of the submenu that
appears subsequently depends on the concerned equipment. Playing of the selected programme is
started. Keep pressed
arrows to step among the songs. Use the
button to read the information
on the currently played file, and use the
arrow to return to the list of songs and select another one.
You can add favourite songs to your own play list. If this is successful, a ‘download’ arrow pointing
downwards appears in the upper left part of the display. Following this, the selected songs (max.99) can
be found in the menu point
My Playlist
(directly under the UPnP menu point). In the lowest submenu
you can clear the complete play list in order to create a new one.
•
The media server and radio have to connect to the same WiFi network.
•
The directories to be used have to be shared and external access has to be enabled for them.
•
Only files of 16bit/44.1kHz format are supported.
•
Playable file types: MP3, FLAC, AAC, AAC+
•
The source device has to support UPnP protocol and it has to be DLNA compatible. Note that the
above devices are available in the market in several versions, and these are not always compatible
with one another.
•
The home media server may be provided by a computer, a network hard disc, NAS storage or similar
devices. They need proper configuration. This has to be checked in their manuals.
•
You have to check whether the firewall blocks output ports. Minimum requirements for the radio:
UDP, TCP port 80, 443, 8008, DNS port 53.
•
If the router and server is not set for DHCP, static IP addresses have to be configured on the radio.
•
The radio has a separate MAC address for wired and wireless Internet connections.
•
The radio supports the following encryption procedures: WEP, WPA, WPA2.
•
The protocols and DLNA compatibility levels of the different devices may considerably vary due
to the various current hardware and software versions, which may prevent them from functioning
together with the radio. Often the manufacturers of the above devices do not provide precise and up-
to-date information on the actual compatibility levels. Therefore smooth interaction among certain
devices cannot be guaranteed.
•
The complex IT system and third parties’ various equipment to be connected may result in faulty
operation, which is not the insufficiency of the concerned equipment.
•
Access to the connected media server is not guaranteed if it is hindered by external conditions.
Several technological and hardware versions are possible.
•
Playing of supported files is not guaranteed in every case either as this can be influenced by
software and hardware conditions being independent of the manufacturer.
