Functional check

The functional check verifies the basic operation of the probe functions:

Turn on both emitter and receiver.

Connect the receiver to a 50Ohm terminated scope and press the OFFSET key.

The signal trace should go to zero.

Press the ON key on the emitter and check that it turns off.

Connect the XFVP-L in a setup as shown below. Install new alkaline batteries in the transmitter.
Turn on the probe head and receiver and wait 5 minutes before starting the tests.

OFFSET Veriﬁcation

This step can also be carried out with a short at the input of the probe
1) Set the voltage source to 0V.
