Procedure for replacing the magnet
1. Check the condition of the
damper.
Before disconnecting the
magnet
(1)
,
if activated
, light-
ly press the lever
(2)
down-
wards.
DISCONNECT
the power
from the magnet.
DEACTIVATE
by turning the
lever
(2)
clockwise until the
damper is closed completely.
Beware of the restoring
force of the spring.
2. Dismantling the plate
Use a fl at screwdriver/size 3 Allen key
to unscrew the countersunk M5 clamp-
ing screw securing the magnet plate to
the support plate.
The screw is fi tted with a nut.
Remove the plate and replace it.
3. Dismantling the magnet
Use a spanner to unscrew the mag-
net’s hexagonal head M5 x 10 clamping
screw at the support plate.
Remove the magnet and replace it.
4.
To
RESET
the fi re damper power the
magnet
(1)
and turn the lever
(2)
an-
ti-clockwise till in contact with the
magnet.
To prevent accidents
it is
advisable to take care around
the lever’s area of operation,
as outlined in the diagram.
