Inside the printer

Use the following procedure to remove any sheets of paper jammed inside the printer.

Caution -

The fusing unit inside the printer can become very hot during operation. To avoid

injury - do not touch.

Press the upper cover release button and open the upper cover

Remove the toner cartridge and the drum cartridge

Clear the paper misfeed using one of the following procedures depending upon the location
of the paper misfeed

Between the drum cartridge and the fusing unit

Remark

Do not touch the image transfer roller (black roller at the bottom of the printer).

Reinstall the drum cartridge and the toner cartridge (refer to paragraph Replacing
cartridges, page 6-2)
