In the picture here after, the FM discriminator gain of the demo
dulator n°3 has been set to “X8”. The
signal level at the bit sync input has been increased.
The FM discriminator gain is also taken into account on the video output. Thus in the previous
example:

With the FM discriminator gain set to nominal, the Video output level was 1Vpp maximum.

With the FM discriminator gain set to “X8”, the Video output level can be tuned to 4 Vpp.
