Audio/Video Settings
The Audio/Video Settings page sets
the number of cameras connected
to the NVR in addition to their
individual configurations.
Camera Discovery
Click
Discover All
to search for all
available connected cameras upon
initial installation and setup of the
NVR. Click
Discover New
to find
new cameras after cameras have
been added or replaced. Click
Last
Result
to automatically recover the
result from the last time Discover All
was used.
Total audio + Video Device(s) (1-10)
Select the number of devices you
want to configure. This specifies
the number of ports that must be
used to connect devices to the NVR.
These ports must be sequential. For
example, if you select to connect 6 cameras, only ports 1
through 6 on the front panel can be used.
Device Name
Enter a unique name (alphanumeric, spaces permitted).
Type
Select the Audio IO option if the audio device is connected
to this port. Only one audio device is supported. The Axis
audio device must be configured to G.711 (ulaw) encoding
and the login and password must be both set to
root
.
Continuous and Event
For each camera, settings must be selected for a regular
stream, the
Continuous
, and a high quality stream that
records during an
Event
.
For each camera stream, select a
Codec
,
Resolution
, and
Bit
Rate
. Additionally, select the check box in the
Audio
column
to record audio with the stream.
FPS
Select the frames per second (FPS) for each camera channel.
Rotation
Rotate the camera image in 90
°
increments.
Audio Codec
Select alaw or ulaw for each device.
The RoadRecorder 7000 NVR supports
both the Safety Vision SVC-2200 series
cameras in addition to Axis network
cameras. Configuration is identical
except
Axis cameras must be
configured with the login and
password both set to root.

Snapshot
Allow this camera channel to transmit JPEG images to the
Snapshot Viewer feature. The codec for one of the two
streams must be set to MJPEG in order for the Snapshot
feature to work.
Time Display
Display a time stamp on the camera image.
IP Address
Enter the IP address of the device.
Click the
Save and Configure
button to save any changes
and reconfigure the cameras the next time the NVR is
rebooted. This is required if a camera is replaced or
removed.
