Pull Harness Strap Across 
Bottom of Shell

Push the harness strap up through 
the other hip harness slot. 

Make sure the harness strap is 
between shell and base and not 
underneath only the seat pad.

Harness adjustment strap

 lay above the harness strap as

Insert Buckle’s Metal
Retainer into Buckle 
Slot Closest to Child

The buckle 

must

 face out.

Pull Metal Retainer Completely 
Through Pad and Shell 

Check Buckle

Pull up on the buckle to make sure 
it is secured. 

The buckle 

must not

 pull out.

Installing Buckle

Rear-Facing Mode

: You 

must

 use the 

1st or 2nd

 buckle slot. 

Forward-Facing Mode

: 

Any

 slot can be used. 

Thread Harness Strap into Hip 
Harness Slot

With the sewn end of the harness 
strap loop facing the buckle, thread 
the harness strap down through the 
hip harness slot as shown.
