The lift table can still be used in this condition but may drift down when not in use and may not lift
the rated load.
4.3
Visual Inspection of Mechanism
Inspect all pivot points for signs of wear (4 leg pivots, 4 rollers, 2 centre pivots, cylinder rod pivots).
All pivots are either Teflon impregnated D.U. bushes or oil impregnated sintered bronze bushes.
Both are "lubricated for life" although their life will be extended by additional periodic lubrication with
light oil or WD40.
4.4
Visual Inspection of Electrical Equipment
Inspect electrical installation for damage to cables and devices. Pay particular attention to trailing
cables and to those cables that flex with the movement of the lift table.
Danger
: The lift table uses a power supply of up to 415V A.C. This voltage can kill. Do not work
on the electrical supply unless you are a qualified electrician. Isolate the supply before
working on the electrical system.
4.5
Function Check of Safety Bar
Inspect safety bar for physical damage and adjustment. If a problem see 4.9
4.6
Function Check of Up Limit Switch
Inspect the up limit switch for physical damage and adjustment. If a problem see 4.8
4.7
Regreasable Pivots (High Cycle Lift Tables Only)
Lift tables modified for High cycle use incorporate regreasable needle bearing cam followers in lieu
of the standard rollers and regreasable glasier DX bushes on the centre pin and cylinder rod pin(s).
Every 5000 cycles, apply 2 shots of shell Alvania EP2 or similar to each roller & bush. The cylinder
rod pins incorporate two bushes and 2 grease nipples, one for each bush. Apply 2 shots to each
grease nipple.
Pivots and rollers should be greased with the load removed from the platform, maintenance chock
applied and the lift table lowered onto the chock. As well as being the only safe way to access, this
aids the ingress of grease by relieving the load from the pins.
4.8
Up Limit Switch
The up limit should halt the upward travel of the lift table before the bottom rollers run into their stop
blocks. The up limit does not affect the down travel.
The up limit has been set in the factory but should be checked in the event that its setting has been
disturbed in transit. Fully raise the lift table and allow it to be stopped by the up limit. There should
be 25 to 50mm of roller travel remaining before the rollers run into the stop blocks. If not, the up limit
can be adjusted by adjusting the projection of the M6 striker bolt.
Caution:
If the up limit is mis-adjusted, the rollers may run into the stops and the motor will not
automatically be stopped. If so, do not continue to run the motor. You may damage the
motor or pump. If the lift table is SmartLift equipped, the up limit indicator LED will show
if the up limit is switching.
