Prepare the tether:

   Tether use is required. The harness can 

NOT be used without the tether.

  •  To lengthen tether, push tether 

adjuster button and pull tether strap 
as shown.

  •  ALWAYS route tether strap under 

vehicle headrest and between 
headrest posts whenever possible.

  •  If tether strap can not be routed 

under vehicle headrest, route strap 
either around or over headrest.

 Secure the tether. 

  •  Secure the tether hook to the 

vehicle tether anchor.

  •  Pull free end of tether strap to 

tighten and remove any slack.

  •  Check to be sure tether is tight & 

secure.

  •  Tightly roll or fold excess tether 

strap, attach the Velcro

®

 strip, and 

place out of the child’s reach to 
avoid a strangulation hazard.

 Check for secure installation.

  •  Grasp child restraint at rear of arms 

as illustrated. Pull forward and side-
to-side on the child restraint.

  •  The installation is secure if the child 

restraint does not move more than 
1 inch in any direction.
