Component Replacement Instructions
19. Install the PosiLift air spring on the hanger mounted
lift bracket making sure the air inlet is in the proper
location and the lower air spring mounting studs are in
the correct set of holes in the beam mounted lift bracket
(Figures 30 and 31)
; torque the 1/2" flange nuts to
30-40 ft.-lbs. (40-54 N•m).
NOTE:
Air spring should be mounted using the inboard
mounting holes
(Figure 30)
.
20. Lower the axle until the tires are back on the ground and
remove the jack stand supporting the axle only.
21. Re-attach the air line to the bottom of the PosiLift air
spring. Re-use the elbow fitting. Check for air leaks and
fix, if necessary.
22. Build system air pressure in excess of 85 psig (5.9 bars),
and check for leaks by applying a soapy water solution
and checking for bubbles at all connections and fittings
and fix if necessary.
IMPORTANT:
It is the responsibility of the air system
installer to secure all air lines and check
for air leaks. If air leaks are detected,
repair as required.
Failure to eliminate air leaks could
compromise the suspension performance
which, if not avoided, could result in
component or property damage.
23. Remove the remaining jack stands.
