Introduction into the well
Before introducing the pump into the well, it is better to check that this one do not present shrinkage or
section variations. For this purpose, introduce into the well a profile, having the same diameter and the
same length of the pump, up to the depth of installation point. During the installation, pay attention to
anchor the motor cables and also take care of the eventual cable of the device against the unloading
running by fixing them along the piping every 2-3 mt. with elastic clips according to the dimension and
weight of the cable. For safety reasons, during the descent of the pump into the well, a support bracket
must be connected on the pipe just under the flange. Avoid laying the pump on muddy places because
the compensation membrane could get damaged and cause a bad functioning of the whole group.

Alternative solutions of installation
Piped electric submersible pumps
Most of the SAER electric pumps can also operate in a oblique or horizontal position, which is an advantage
for use in systems with a high technological content. The pumps can be used in systems which increase
the pressure in aqueducts, in residential areas, hospitals, industrial processing, cooling, air conditioning,
washing, smoke damp, irrigation. The solution with pipes enables the optimum use of the characteristics
of the installation’s environmental, such as :
- Wells with low dynamic level, with vertical suction shell, for the lowering of the suction level.
- Wells with presence of sand, with vertical shell, with or without filter.
- Artificial or natural basins, with suction shell in vertical, horizontal or sloping position, with or without
foot valve
- Existing systems, with delivery shell in horizontal or vertical position, for any easy operation of insertion
along the existing pipes.

Adjustment of the control appliance
The starting of the group for the first time, has to be done with the gate valve closed which then must be
open very slowly until the water that comes out is perfectly clear; if the water starts becoming turbid,
close slightly the gate valve and let the group work for some time, then open again slowly until the water
becomes clear. Absolutely avoid the pump to work with water with a high quantity of sand (superior to
0,04 gr./lt) since its durability would get damaged. When the well is enough clean and the pump can work
also with its maximum delivery without transporting a high quantity of sand, you can connect the automatic
control appliance. If the control is provided by a pressure switch or by a pressure gauge, it is necessary
to check that the difference between the starting pressures and the arresting pressures does not cause
a number of startings per hour higher than what it permitted for the motor. If necessary, you will also have
to increase the volume of the autoclave.
