Preliminary verifications
- Verify that the data shown on the plate, and in particular, power, frequency, voltage, absorbed current,
are compatible with the characteristics of the electric line or current generator available. In particular, the
voltage of the line voltage can have a variance of
±
5% from the nominal voltage value on the plate.
- Verify that the protection and insulation grade indicated on the plate are compatible with the environmental conditions.
- Verify that the chemical/physical characteristics of the liquid to be moved correspond to those specified on the order.
- Verify the environmental conditions: SAER 4” submersible pumps can pump liquids with a max.
temperature of +35
°
C. and non-explosive.
- Verify that the electrical system corresponds to the CEI EN 60204-1 standard and, in particular: the
existence of an earth connection, the presence of a lockable disconnecting switch to isolate the motor in
the event of malfunction or small maintenance interventions and the presence of an emergency stop button.
- Verify that the pump’s flow rate and head correspond to the required characteristics.
- Before coupling the pump and the motor, make sure that the two shafts turn freely.
At this stage, the coupling can be done; put the pump in vertical position and lay it on the motor by doing
the centering, tight the screws and lock with the proper torque. The installer and the end user must take
the necessary measures to avoid hygienic risks relating to the pumped liquids.
Caution
- Dry running protection
When you foreseen that the level of the water into the well can suffer considerable changed related to the
season’s run or when you are forced to place the electric pump just under the dynamic level of the water
or when you foresee that the water inflow into the level can temporarily lack, it is necessary to install a
dry-running protection.
