RIGHT OF COMPLAINT
By law the product must be returned to the place of purchase along with the original
receipt in the event of a complaint. The user is liable for any damage to the product that
is caused by not using the product for its intended purpose or by not following this user
manual correctly. The right of complaint will not apply in these instances.
INFORMATION ABOUT HAZARDOUS WASTE
Used products should be handled separately from
household waste. They should be taken for recycling in
accordance with local rules for waste management.
• After food is cooked, switch the cooker to “OFF” and leave covered with the lid. There
will be enough heat in the ceramic pot to keep the food warm for at least 30 minutes.
If you require longer time to keep warm, use the “LOW” or “WARM” setting.
• All food should be covered in a liquid, gravy or sauce. You can prepare your liquid in a
separate pan or jug and then cover the food in the ceramic pot.
• Pre-cooking or browning meat and onions in a separate pan to seal in the juices
reduces the fat content before adding it to the ceramic pot. This also improves the
flavor.
• When cooking different types of meat, ham, chicken etc. the size and shape of the total
amount of ingredients is important. Try to keep the total volume lower than 2/3 of the
pot, and fully cover with liquid. Total weight should be kept within the maximum limit.
If necessary, cut your ingredients in pieces.
CARE AND CLEANING
Always make sure that the slow cooker is unplugged and in “OFF” before storing and
cleaning. Make sure that the unit is cooled down completely before storing or cleaning.
1. The ceramic pot and lid should be cleaned with warm, soapy water. To remove any
foods that have been cooked onto the bottom of the pot, simply soak overnight in
soapy water and rinse the next day. Do not attempt to wash in dishwasher.
2. The exterior of the slow cooker can be wiped with a damp cloth and then dried. Never
use abrasive cleaners or a scouring pad to clean any part of the slow cooker as this
will damage the surface. Never immerse the slow cooker in water.
3. During usage, the screw that connects the knob to the lid may become a bit loose.
After cleaning, always check to see that the screw is still tightened.
