Load Firmware

1. Turn off the power switch for the Streamer.
Plug the USB Flash Drive in the Firmware Update port of the DMS-3.1

(The USB Flash Drive) will have files listed in the “Prepare USB Drive” section)

2. Plug the USB A-to-B cable from the PC to the USB B port below BridgeCo 2 module
inside the DMS-3.1 Streamer.
3. Plug the Russound Advanced Programming Cable from the PC Serial Port to the
J11 header of the DMS-3.1 Streamer. J11 is near the USB B port of the Streamer.

4. Ensure there is a black jumper installed on

J21

, jumper the two pins facing

BridgeCo module 3. This places the tuner processor in the “Run” position.

Ensure there is a black jumper installed on

J34

.

This enables the Apple Airplay Processor U17

5.

J28 will not have a black jumper on installed at this step.

6. Open Putty
Select the Streamer in the large window
Click the “Open” button
