DMS-3.1 Test Procedure

Install Firmware (Russound Only)

1. Turn on the DMS-3.1
2. Put the current image for the DMS-3.1 on a USB Stick.
3. Place the USB Stick in the Update Firmware jack of the DMS-3.1.
The DMS-3.1 will automatically see the image on the USB Stick is
different than what is installed and load the new image.
4. The Front Panel LED will blink rapidly, then after a few minutes
stop blinking and momentarily remain illuminated,
then it will blink slowly for about 15 minutes…(The BridgeCo modules are updating).
5. Once the Front Panel LED stops slowly blinking and remains illuminated
continue to the next step.
6. Remove the USB Stick form the Aux USB Port.
7. Turn off the DMS-3.1 for 3 seconds and turn it on again.
8. Wait a minute for the DMS-3.1 to boot up.
9. Open a SSH Putty Window using the IP address of the DMS-3.1 under test.
Type root and enter.
Type the password and enter.
Type cat /etc/issue

(Do not type capital letters)
