clarinet mouthpieces
Attention: The installation of the mouthpiece pickup should be arran-
ged at any rate by a special repair shop or a specialized store for wood-
wind instruments. We explicitly point out that we are not liable for any
damages which are caused by installing the pickup.
Attention:
Under no circumstances should pressure be applied
onto the membrane. This may lead to damages or even destruction
of the pickup!

Installation in mouthpieces made of plastic or rubber for clarinet:

Before marking the drilling position -> mount the ligature with
reed.

Mark the drilling position as you can see in the diagram
(fig.1/fig. 2); in order that arising moisture can run off, install the
pickup on the side of the mouthpiece (left or right),
under no circumstances on the bottom!

By lateral mounting, fit in the mouthpiece carefully into a vice
and align it at a 90° angle to the reed.

Pre-drill with a small drill (2 - 3 mm).

Drill carefully with a larger drill (7.5 mm).

Cut a thread into the 7.5 mm hole with M8 x 0.5 mm fine tap
(available at: www.rumberger-soundproducts.com or in well-as-
sorted tool shops).
