Figure 2-4 Installing the fan module
Insert the fan module in a smooth manner. Pay attention to the direction of the fan panel to avoid wrong insertion. If
the position is not proper, you must withdraw the inserted module and re-insert it.
Step 3: Tighten the captive screws with a screwdriver to fix the fan module in the switch chassis.
If the screws can not be tightened when installing the fixing screws, it is probably because the fan module is not
installed properly. Please check it carefully.
3.4.3.2 Removing the Power Module
The process of removing a fan module is reverse to the installation.
Step 1: Wear the anti-static gloves and loosen the captive screws of the fan module to be replaced.
Step 2: Pinch the captive screws of the fan module with both hands to withdraw the fan module slowly.
Step 3: Install the blank panle of the fan, and put the fan module into its package.
In the process of withdrawing the M6200-FAN-F(R) fan module, exert force with both hands at the same time to
ensure that the fan module can be removed uprightly and slowly. If no other fan module is installed in the location
where a fan module is removed, a blank panel needs to be installed to ensure normal ventilation and dissipation and
avoid dust.
