6.7 | Controlling Loudspeaker Monitoring

On top of controlling the SurroundControl‘s metering functions, the Remote Control 30050 as well as the 31960 Series control
panel are also fully featured surround monitoring controllers with numerical readout of the volume level set.

6.7.2 | Controlling the volume

Turning the Volume dial controls the listening level of the se-
lected monitoring outputs in steps of 0.5 dB each. Pressing
the dial will switch the listening level to a preset value deﬁ ned
by the user (see next paragraph about how to do this). It is also
possible to set an initial listening level always set after power-
on. Please refer to the corresponding section in the PDF
version of the operating manual for details about how to set
the power-on SPL level on the

Global Audio Settings

menu

page using the

Audio System

menu tab.

6.7.1 | Switching monitoring outputs

Pressing the

Output

key or clicking the

Output

button abo-

ve the

MENU

and the

INSTR

buttons always showing the

current used output toggles between two output connectors
carrying the monitor signals at any time. This is a fast way to
switch monitoring between two individual loudspeakers sets.
The

Output

key on the Remote Control 30050 lights up if

activated.
The two output connectors used when the

Output

key is ac-

tive resp. inactive are deﬁ ned in the menu and can be part of
the local conﬁ guration stored in presets. For all Factory Pre-
sets, the

Analog Out

connector is used when the

Output

key

is not active and the

Digital 3 In/Out

connector is used when

the

Output

key is active (and lit). To switch between both,

press the

Output

key.
