NP ModBus TCP Master Port
The RTP Master TCP node can be any host or peer RTP node that supports RTP MODBUS TCP
communication protocol and can communicate with other MODBUS Slave TCP controller, therefore users can
enter multiple MODBUS TCP nodes under the MODBUS TCP Master Port. Initially, there are no Nodes
connected to the Port.
Properties of NP ModBus TCP Master Port:
NP ModBus TCP Node
This represents the host or peer RTP node information that the RTP Slave TCP controller will be
communicating with. Nodes are configured by dragging a NP MODBUS TCP Node icon from the I/O
Configuration toolbox to a Node=Empty cell.
Response Timeout (ms)
Enter a response timeout, in milliseconds, that will determine the time period between retries. Its value depends
on the characteristics of the attached ModBus devices. The timeout specified for a node must be long enough
to account for the longest delay between the node receiving a command and sending a complete reply.
Primary IP
This is the Primary Ethernet IP address used by the ModBus TCP Master controller to communicate with slave
devices. In a redundant 3200T/3201 processor configuration, processors "A" and "C" will communication on
this network. The format of an IP address is
nnn.nnn.nnn.nnn
, where
nnn
can be any number from 0 to 255.
The default address is 89.89.89.89. Enter an IP address according to the format specified for your network. This
parameter is Primary IP address of host or peer RTP node that are acting as ModBus TCP Master and
communicate with ModBus TCP Slave controller.
Secondary IP
This is the Secondary Ethernet IP address used by the ModBus TCP Master controller to communicate with
slave devices. In a redundant 3200T/3201 processor configuration, processors "B" and "D" will communication
on this network. The format of an IP address is
nnn.nnn.nnn.nnn
, where
nnn
can be any number from 0 to 255.
The default address is 90.90.90.90. Enter an IP address according to the format specified for your network. This
parameter is Secondary IP address of host or peer RTP node that are acting as ModBus TCP Master and
communicate with ModBus TCP Slave controller.
