INFLATABLE KAYAK LAGO
Steps for deflating the kayak
1. Remove water or debris from around the valve.
2. Gently squeeze the valve stem and turn it clockwise to lock it in the open position.
3. Follow the same procedure for all inflatable compartments.
Tips and precautions for inflation
• Inflation can be done either with a manual pump or with an electric pump. In the case of the electric
pump, use a medium pressure, and up to about 90% of the inflation. The rest will have to be done by hand
to achieve the correct pressure.
The use of a high pressure and high flow compressor may damage the product and invalidate the
warranty.
• After 2 or 3 days, you may notice a slight depression due to temperature changes. If this is the case, add
a few pump strokes to the tubes.
• Before a long trip, inflate the boat well 24 hours in advance to ensure that all rooms are watertight. If
you notice significant depressions, follow the instructions in the «leak detection and repair» section of this
manual.
• Do not over-inflate the kayak. If you have a pressure gauge, a pressure of 10 PSI is adequate.
The easiest way to measure a good pressure is to check that the chambers are tight when you press them
with your hand.
• If you leave your product exposed to direct sunlight, deflate it slightly to prevent the material from
stretching excessively. The ambient temperature affects the pressure level in the air chambers: a variation
of 1°C results in a pressure variation in a chamber of +/- 4 mbar (O.06PSI).
