6. SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS AND OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
Before leaving the coast or port
Get the necessary information and inform other passengers :
• Learn the basics of boat and rescue safety.
• Find out about local regulations and risks related to water activities and navigation.
• Check the weather forecasts, water currents, tides and winds present.
• Tell someone ashore about your itinerary and your expected departure and arrival time.
• Explain to passengers how the boat works.
• Make sure that one of your passengers can steer the boat in an emergency.
• Learn to determine the distances you can cover and remember that poor weather conditions can
change them.
• Review all security conditions regularly.
Adjustable seats
Your kayak is equipped with one (or more) adjustable seat(s) with a high and very comfortable backrest.
Attach the side straps of the backrest to the rings D on the kayak chambers. Adjust the lengths of the
straps according to the needs and size of the user.
Drain plugs
Your kayak is equipped with a drain plug located on the bottom at the back. When the cap is opened,
this self-draining system allows rapid water evacuation when used in white water. The cap can be closed
(before launching) in calm water to avoid water ingress and keep the kayak dry.
