Lubrication, Introduction

1. Use a good grade of multi-purpose grease.
2. Make sure all grease fittings are free of dirt and

paint before using.

3. Usually, one to two pumps per zerk is sufficient.
4. Lubricate at the end of the season to keep moisture

out of critical areas.

5. Figure E-1 shows an overall view of the V-Rake

lubrication areas. Subsequent figures give

close-ups of the key areas.
