4.3 Switching off the appliance
6.
If you want to interrupt the heat output, turn the rotary knob to the “0” position.
Please note that by turning the rotary knob to the “0” position, you are not
interrupting the gas supply but rather switching off the heat output - the pilot light
keeps on burning. To interrupt the gas supply permanently, follow the instructions
in step 7.
7.
Lift the lever to the “Release” position to interrupt the gas supply, switch off the
appliance and remove the gas cartridge.
Please note that the gas cartridge may only be replaced in a well ventilated environment
and away from dangerous and/or flammable materials.
After turning it off, the residual gas will keep on burning until the pilot light
extinguishes.
4.4 Replacing/changing the gas cartridge
P
Check that burners are extinguished before disconnecting the gas container.
P
Always replace the gas cartridge in a flame-free environment and away from
dangerous an/or highly flammable materials.
P
Before replacing the cartridge, make sure that it is empty (can you hear liquid
inside?)
P
Check the seals before connecting a new gas cartridge.
P
Change the gas container outside and away from people.
Proceed as follows when replacing the gas cartridge:
1. Open the cover at the back of the gas radiant heater
2. Insert the approved gas cartridge with the valve tip in the provided opening
inside the appliance until it engages audibly. Then follow the instructions in
Chapter 4.2, steps 2 - 5.
It can be dangerous to try and use gas cartridges other than the ones mentioned
in Section 2.8.3. The use of gas cartridges other than the ones mentioned in
these operating instructions will invalidate the warranty and guarantee claims.
