10. Maintenance
CAUTION
Shutting off Motor Set Pressure Regulator and
disconnecting associated equipment can cause
dangerous system conditions to exist. Ensure the System
is properly prepared for maintenance to be performed
on the unit before taking it out of service.
Periodic lubrication of Thrust Rod
After 20,000 operating cycles, re-lubricate the actuator
thrust rod.
Make sure it is safe to depressurize the system. Move the
setup knob to the Operate Pulse mode and pressing the
Jog DN button, retract the thrust rod to its most retracted
position (Zero output pressure from the pressure regulator).
To expose the thrust rod remove the four bolts that attach
the pressure regulator to the actuator housing. Remove the
pressure regulator and Thrust Rod Cap exposing the Thrust
Rod. With the setup knob to the Operate Pulse mode and
pressing the Jog UP button, extend the thrust rod to its most
extended position. Apply Dow Corning G-n lubricant to the
exposed thrust rod thread. Using the Jog DN button, retract
the thrust rod to its most retracted position. Re-install the
thrust rod cap and pressure regulator.
