- Slide the detector several times over the
surface area to be examined. Ensure
contact with the surface is not lost during
this process. If the green LED status light
is on and there is no signal tone, there
is no detectable wood in the material
being scanned. A wooden object close
to the detector will cause the reading on
the status bar to increase. The yellow
and red LED status lights as well as the
signal tone will come on at a certain
signal strength. The status bar will display
completely full when the wooden object
is centred under the detector's sensor.
Detecting wood
Place the device on the surface of the
material to be scanned.
Press the wood detection button (3).
The wood detection symbol (c) will be
displayed and the green LED status light
indicates the device is ready for use.
