Pumps, three-way diverter valve
The GSU/GCU are equipped with an integral
circulation pump and a three-way diverter
valve (3W-UV) as standard. Both pump and the
three-way diverter valve are equipped with a
cable and plug each. These cables are fully
wired and can be plugged in at the control
panel and at the pump/valve servomotor.

The valve is mounted so that connection B is
connected on the heating side and A on the
cylinder side. Observe chapter. 5 when filling
the system.
Optional connection options
Mixer circuit connection
The GSU/GCU are equipped as standard, so
that a mixer circuit, that is regulated by the
electronic boiler control unit, can be connected
directly to the boiler. For this, ROTEX offers a
fully wired mixer assembly AMK1 (part no.
15 60 44), what comprises an integral
circulation pump, a motorised mixer and
shut-off valves with temperature displays in an
insulating enclosure. With the mixer circuit
contact sensor TMKF (part no. 15 60 62), the
mixer assembly can be connected directly to
the PCB connections (fully wired PCB plugs on
the GSU/GCU).
An additional mixer circuit and/or cylinder
primary circuit can be regulated by the heating
circuit extension module THETA HEM1 (part
no. 15 60 61). The heating circuit extension
module THETA HEM1 communicates via the
BUS with the central controller in the
GSU/GCU. Cascading the THETA HEM1
enables the system to be extended to up to
five mixer circuits and/or cylinder primary
circuits. Order the temperature sensors
required in connection with a heating circuit
extension module separately. (mixer circuit
contact sensor TMKF: part no: 15 60 62,
cylinder temperature sensor TSF: part no:
15 60 63)
Room thermostat connection
A separate room controller THETA RFF (part
no. 15 40 70) can be connected for every heat-
ing circuit. This enables the operating mode
and the set room temperature (see operating
instructions ROTEX control unit) to be modified
from the room, where the device is installed
(remote control). Simultaneously, the heating
circuit temperature will be matched according
to the required room temperature (proportional
room influence).
Room station connection
The room station THETA RS (part no. 15 70 18)
allows the display and adjustment of all
temperatures and operating modes of the
THETA 23 R (central control unit). Apart from
the emissions test and manual function (see
operating instructions ROTEX control unit), all
controls (display, keys, rotary selector) and
functions (e.g. switching time program) are
identical with the central control unit. The
THETA RS can be installed in any suitable
location inside the building, where it can
function as a remote control for the GSU/GCU.
Connection and communication are made via
the data bus connected to the central control
unit.
