NMOS Support
This section outlines the required settings on the NWE-IP to establish communications via the Networked Media
Open Specifications (NMOS).

The NWE-IP implements support for IS-04 and IS-05.
In order for the NWE-IP to provide Receivers and Senders for NMOS, they must first be created and configured in
DashBoard.
Configure the AES67 Receiver on the NWE-IP
First, configure the AES67 Receiver by creating the groups and sessions desired, setting their channel mappings,
and then applying. Refer to “ Configuring the AES67 Receiver ” on page 39.
 The AES67 Receiver must be configured and receiving data before the AES67 Sender is configured.
Enable NMOS on the NWE-IP
Now, NMOS can be enabled on the NWE-IP.
To configure the NWE-IP as a NMOS device
1. Display the NMOS interface in DashBoard as outlined in “ To display the NWE-IP interfaces in DashBoard ”
on page 29.
The
Node tab is automatically selected.
2. Use the HTTP Port field to specify the port on which the Node API is running on.
3. Use the Domain field to specify which domain to browse for services.
4. Select the Enabled box.
5. Click
Apply
to save the new settings.
Configure the AES67 Receiver through NMOS
Once the sessions are created in the AES67 Receiver, they must be configured through NMOS.
Configure the AES67 Sender on the NWE-IP
Once the AES67 Receiver is configured and is receiving data, the AES67 Sender must be configured on the
NWE-IP. There will be one session automatically defined. You must configure its channel mapping, and then apply
it. Refer to “ Configuring the AES67 Senders ” on page 49.
