Pump Pressure Governor
DRE operation (pump pressure governor):
If the pump is equipped with an automatic pump pressure governor
(DRE), the pump pressure can be kept constant, independent of the
amount of water discharged.
- Operate pump as mentioned in the
◊
"Tank Suction Operation" or
◊
"Drafting Operation from Open Water Source" or
◊
"Supply Operation / Hydrant Operation" chapter.
- Engage the pump pressure governor:
◊
Press switch (S10) -> screen (124) will be shown on display (N7).
The pilot lamp in switch (S10) illuminates.
The pump speed is controlled by the DRE to reach the
actually adjusted pressure at variable discharge amounts.
◊
Preselect a desired discharge pressure by using switches
(SF1) to (SF4). Other pressure values from the range of
capacity are to be adjusted by pressing switch (S9+) to
increase the pressure, and switch (S9-) to decrease the
pressure.
◊
A signal in the displays starts blinking when the pump is
cavitating.
Note:
To return to the pump pressure governor menu you can use switch
(S10) at any different menu.
Disengaging the pump pressure governor:
- Call up the pump pressure governor sub-menu:
◊
Press switch (S10) -> screen (124) will be shown on display (N7).
- Press switch (SF5).
◊
The pilot lamp in switch (S10) extinguishes.
Note:
When changing from automatic to manual mode, the drive engine
is no longer electronically controlled and keeps running with its
current speed, therefore it must be manually returned to idle.
Press switch (S9-) until the drive engine idles.
- If desired carry on pump operation manually as described
before.
