3. TYPE
The NAUTILUS is effected as a single stage centrifugal pump and directly
driven by the electric motor. The pump can be operated in upright or horizontal
position and completely immersed. The submersible pump and the connecting
lead are built to withstand water under pressure (IP 68). The protection class of
the connecting plug depends on the plug type.
3.1. Pump materials
Pump shaft:
stainless steel
Impeller: cast steel (NAUTILUS 4/1) or plastic (NAUTILUS 4/1 ECO)
Diffuser: cast steel
Seals and gaskets: oil-resilient elastomers
Housing materials: corrosion resistant, light metal alloy, composites and
stainless steel
3.2. Motor protection
The NAUTILUS is equipped with an automatic motor protection facility that
switches off the pump in case of overload. After resolving the malfunction, the
NAUTILUS will automatically restart.
3.3. Integrated deep drafting device
Deep drafting is possible down to a depth of few mm with the NAUTILUS.
And there is no need to manipulate the NAUTILUS for this: You don’t need to
remove the suction screen, or fit an additional sleeve, or anything similar.
4. TRANSPORT AND STORAGE
The NAUTILUS can be transported and stored in upright or horizontal position.
During storage and transportation secure the pump to prevent it tipping or
rolling and thus avoid injury or damage.
If the pump will be out of service for an extended period, you should turn over
the pump at regular intervals (approx. every 2 months) to prevent the seals
sticking.
In case of extended storage, the submersible pump must be protected against
frost, heat and moisture.
