1 Introduction
OVERVIEW This manual provides information on the operation, maintenance, and
calibration of the Rosemount Model P300 Pressure Validator. It is
organized into the following sections:
Section 1: Introduction
This section provides a manual overview, description of the Rosemount
Model P300 Pressure Validator, safety messages, and shipping list.
Section 2: Hardware Functions
This section describes power sources and battery installation and gives
a description of the pneumatic controls and the electrical control panel.

This section describes the validator’s software functions, including

PRODUCT DESCRIPTION The Model P300 Pressure Validator is a portable testing device
intended for use in remote locations for pressure testing and validation
of pressure transmitters and systems.
The Model P300 uses an internal pressure transducer to measure the
pneumatic pressure applied to the outlet port. Pressure is generated by
a hand-operated pump capable of supplying pressures up to 300 psi
gauge. An optional changeover valve generates negative pressures to
–12.75 psi gauge.
The electrical features of the validator include a fully isolated 24 V dc
power supply, a fully floating constant current source, a voltmeter and a
milliammeter. The 24 V dc power supply is designed to power external
devices at a load current of 25 mA.
