MAINTENANCE
OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
WARNING!
Before any maintenance or adjustments to your air compressor,
always
take the following safety precautions:
1. Disconnect electrical power.
2. Open the drain cock to drain air tank of pressure.
DAILY MAINTENANCE
Before each use:
Check the oil level
Be sure all nuts and bolts are tight
Check for any unusual noise or vibration
After use: open the air tank drain cock to drain condensation from tank
COMPRESSOR LUBRICATION
1. CHECK the quality and quantity of oil every time before starting the
compressor. Do not add oil while the compressor is running. Use only oil
specified.
2. With the compressor sitting on a level surface, the oil level should show even
with the red dot in the centre of the oil level sight gauge (
V, fig.3
).
3. If the oil level is too low, remove the oil breather cap, and add oil so that the
level is at the red mark. Do not over-fill.
4. Replaceoil breather cap before starting the compressor.
TANK REMOVAL/INSTALLATION
WARNING:
Before removing or installing the portable air tank, be sure to
disconnect air compressor unit from power source.
REMOVING THE AIR TANK:
1. Turn the Auto-On/Off power switch (
T, fig.2 & 6
) to the “OFF” position (shown
as “0” in fig.6).
2. Lift the Folding handle for wheeled transport (
F, fig.1&2
) up and away from
the portable air tank (
Q, fig.1,2&5
).
3. Close the Fill control valve for portable tank (
S, fig.2 & 6
). Turn it so it points
across the air flow (shown as position “0” in fig.6).
4. Disconnect the Portable tank connection valve (
P, fig.2 & 6
).
. Loosen the rubber straps (
M, fig.1 & 2
) to release the air tank.
The tank has now been properly disconnected from the air compressor unit. You
can now move the tank freely.
INSTALLING THE AIR TANK:
1. Turn the Auto-On/Off power switch (
T, fig.2 & 6
) to the “OFF” position (shown
as “0” in fig.6).
2. Place the portable air tank in the appropriate position.
3. Fix the air tank to the compressor unit using the rubber straps.
4. Reconnect the Portable tank connection valve (
P, fig.2 & 6
).
. Open the Fill control valve for portable tank (
S, fig.2 & 6
). Turn it so it points
down, in line with the air flow (shown as position “1” in fig.6).
The portable air tank has been properly installed and connected to the air
compressor unit. Your air compressor is now ready for use.
