Press the on/off button to switch the measuring instrument on or

move the battery. You can now see an opening at the upper edge of
the inside of the appliance, from which the battery connecting cables
lead. The switch is located immediately behind
the opening. The switch can easily be switched
with the aid of a thin needle.

Do not immerse the measuring instrument in liquids. It is
intended exclusively for measurements in air.
Moving the appliance from a cold to a warm environment
(and vice versa) can lead to the formation of condensation
on the measuring circuitry of the appliance. This physical
effect, which cannot be prevented by structural means for
any measuring instrument, leads to false measurement
values. Depending on the temperature difference, the app-
liance requires an ‚acclimatisation time‘ of approx. 15 - 30
minutes before the measuring procedure can be resumed.

Minimum (MIN) maximum (MAX) function
Using the MIN/MAX mode you can read off either the highest or
the lowest value.
