• The appliance is equipped with an energy-saving standby function. The appliance switches to standby
mode if no further button is pressed within two minutes after connection to the power supply resp.
after the last grinding process.

• The taste of beverages containing coffee depends on the quality of the used coffee or espresso beans. A
requirement for the aromatic preparation of beverages with coffee is the perfect grinding of the roasted
beans as this is increasing the surface for the contact with water and thus, the release of fl avours.
• A roasted coffee bean contains more than 1,000 different fl avouring substances. The fi ner the grinding,
the more substances are released.
• After a few minutes already, the ground powder is losing more than 50 % of its fl avour. Therefore,
coffee specialists recommend storing whole coffee beans and only grinding the quantity just needed.
