Safety instructions
Manuals for this door must be handed out to the user (user‘s
instructions - and maintenance manual and declaration of
conformity).
Use this door system only in dry rooms which are not endan-
gered by explosion.
Do not use this door system in rooms with aggressive atmos-
pheres.
The moving parts of this door system could cause injuries
through dragging, crushing or shearing. Do not allow children
or adults to stay near the product while it is operating... Espe-
cially children, frail persons and animals should be kept out of
reach of running door systems.
Do not enter the door by car or by foot until it is totally opened.
Before attempting any job on the system, cut out electrical
power. Otherwise there is the danger of electrocution or
operating the door accidentally.
Do not clean the drive, control unit or sliding brackets wet! This
could lead to injuries through electrocution or it could damage
the components.
The instructions for assembly have to be read, understood and
recognized by all persons who assemble, disassemble, repair or
maintain the door system.
Working on electrical devices is only allowed by qualified
personnel or by other technical experts. They have to evaluate
their work and recognize possible dangers and take appropriate
precautions.
The assembly and disassembly of this product requires exten-
sive training in sliding shutters or doors.
The operation of the door system is permitted only with
appropriate covers and safety devices.
Accident prevention regulation and applicable standards and
directives have to be considered, especially EN 12453: Indus-
trial commercial and garage doors and gates - Safety in use of
power operated doors - Requirements
Working on the door system requires the necessary
personal protective equipment (safety goggles, protective
gloves, …).
The user of the gate system has to be briefed before handling
the system.
Storage
The door and especially the drive and controller units may only
be stored in closed and dry rooms, with a temperature between
-20°C to +50°C .
Warranty and liability
For the assembly and the operation of the door system only
original ROMA parts must be used. If any other than original
parts are used, the manufacturer has no responsibility.
Before starting the assembly, the building structure has to be
checked for sufficient stability. The building structure has to be
sufficiently strong and rigid. The door system is not capable of
transferring forces from the building structure or make it rigid.
The installation materials have to be tested for suitability by
the assembler and be adapted to the building structure. ROMA
does not take any liability for technical defects resulting of
insufficient mounting, insufficient fittings or of unstable build-
ing structure.
The warranty is based on an appropriate assembly and an
adequate handling of the product. The manufacturer is respon-
sible that all components are faultless at the time of delivery
regarding materials and workmanship. The warranty will be
granted according to the respective legal requirements.
The purpose of the door system is opening and closing of open-
ings in buildings. For any other purpose we do not take over any
liability. No parts of the door system must be used for other
purposes.
Damages resulting from misuse of the installation instructions
void manufacturer‘s liability.
Disassembly
The procedure is equal to assembling the system. The adjust-
ments can be omitted. The disassembly of the system has to
be performed by qualified personnel.
