Resizing an Image
Resizes a previously saved image.
Resizing replaces the original image with the changed image. Only resizing to a
smaller
size is available.
The following images cannot be resized:
Image size (640 x 480)
Image captured with another camera
Protected images
Video clips
Images cannot be resized when the SD/SDHC memory card is write protected
1. Slide the mode switch to [ ].
2. Select the image that you want to resize with the
e
/
f
buttons.
3. Press the
MENU
button.
4. Select [Resize] with the
c
/
d
buttons, and press
the
SET
button.
5. Select the image size that you want to change
with the
c
/
d
buttons, and press the
SET
button.
To quit resizing, press the
MENU
button.
When resizing ends, the screen returns to playback mode.
It is not possible to resize into a different aspect ratio (i.e. [
1.3
M
] cannot be resized to [
Wide
3.7
M
]).
Compressing an Image
Changes the quality (compression) of a recorded image.
Compresses images down to half of their size or more, overwrites an old size image with a
newly
compressed image. Only quality changing to the lower quality level is available.
The following images cannot be resized:
(Economy) quality images
Images captured with another camera
Protected images
Video clips
Images cannot be changed quality when the SD/SDHC memory card is write-protected
1. Slide the mode switch to [ ].
2. Select the image that you want to change its quality.
3. Press the
MENU
button.
4. Select [Quality Change] with the
c
/
d
buttons, and press the
SET
button.
5. Select the compression that you want to change with the
c
/
d
buttons, and press the
SET
button.
To quit compression, press the
MENU
button.
When compression ends, the screen returns to playback mode.
It is possible to reduce the size of an image. It is not possible to increase the size of an image,
or to restore size after it has been decreased.
