Click [Properties].
If you're using Windows Vista and the [User Account
Control] dialog box appears, click [Allow].
The [Local Area Connection Properties] dialog box appears.
Select [Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP/IPv4)]
(Windows Vista) or [Internet Protocol (TCP/IP)
(Windows XP/2000), then click [Properties].
If the check box for [Internet Protocol] is unselected, then click
the
check box to select it. click the check box to select it.
Select [Use the following IP address]. Enter the
information as shown below, then click [OK].
[IP Address]: 192.168.0.XXX
[Subnet Mask]: 255.255.255.0
Note: Here, "XXX" may be any number you want from 1 to 254.
However, be sure to specify a number that does not duplicate a
number
used for another computer or device. Here, by way of example,
"192.168.0.101" is entered for the IP address and "255.255.255.0"
for the subnet mask.
In the [Local Area Connection Properties] dialog box, click [OK], then in the [Local Area
Connection Status] dialog box, click [Close].
